COMELCO, Inc was founded in1989 by
Jesse Gonzalez. Starting his electrical career in 1980, he served
a four-year apprenticeship in South Florida. Six months after
his graduation in 1984 he transferred to New York City, there
he was able to hone his skills as a journeymen electrician working
all the different phases of the electrical industry. In 1990
he relocated to central Florida, passed his master’s exam
and started COMELCO Inc.
The
fundamental elements of my business are the distribution of
power and signals, construction and remodel, design of system
& integration to application. My involvement in the Electrical
Contracting Industry began in 1980 when I first joined the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union as an
Apprentice Journeyman. My rapid advances through the rank
as increased my familiarity with the technical and managerial
aspects of the Industry convinced me that it was economically
wise to become an independent contractor and organized my
own business concerns. COMELCO has been a successful, profitable
venture ever since. We have ably completed hundreds of important
projects in both the Private and Public Sectors of the construction
industry. It is regarding as a serious, competent member of
the business community of central Florida, having garnered
many achievement awards as a minority contractor. We have
an excellent working relationship with General Contractors
of the area that routinely seek COMELCO out to assign their
more important Electrical Contracts.
COMELCO views Project Development and
Pre-Construction Services as being one in the same function.
Projects are developed as part of a team, working with the
project owner and general contractors. From our first contact,
we offer conceptual and preliminary budget estimates. Utilizing
the skills of project development personnel, project management
and fields’ supervisors Comelco entrusts its resources
to ensure a smooth, well planned and successful completed
project to assurance a more valuable customers satisfaction
guarantee.
